I thought I'd change it up a little bit and share my "Top Five" things you may not know about me!
I am a long distance cyclist

Before I became pregnant I was an avid road cyclist. I actually lost 50 pounds doing it! I first became involved with it when I Roadied for the Aids Lifecycle. I really fell in love with it and decided the next year I would do the week long, 545 mile trek from San Franisco to L.A.
Me, on day six. I had traveled 490 miles, suffering from swollen-sunburned lips and third degree burns on my left leg! I personally raised $3,500.00, made some amazing friends and memories. I was apart of the largest US non-profit fundraiser to date, raising 10 million dollars for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and San Fransisco Aids Foundation. Was it the hardest thing I have ever done? Yes -- even harder than giving birth! Will I do it again, YES YES YES! Chelsea and I are thinking of doing it in June!
I am a professionally trained singer
From the young age of five, I began taking singing lessons. I am formally trained in music reading, play alto sax and the piano. In high school I became more involved with the hair, makeup and costume aspect of theater. It was inevitable since my parent provided the costumes for my High School productions. I am not much of an actress and prefer to be "behind the camera", so when choosing my career I decided it wouldn't be in singing. My Husband refers to me as the Looney Tunes frog, since I refuse to sing in public but have a record quality voice. I often dream of learning the guitar and starting an all girl 50's band! Wouldn't that be fun?
I can't swim
Now, I can save myself from drowning. But, I'm not doing any laps in a pool. I actually challenged myself and completed a sprint triathlon one year. I did a quarter of a mile lake swim. It should take someone 15 minutes to do such, however it took me 45. I stopped from kayak to kayak and had to be saved once. But, I finished it! I love the beach, but will never go in the ocean.
I've never taken a sewing class
I am completely self taught my Dear Readers! If I can learn to sew - SO can you!
I am in recovery
This month, I am drug-free 11 years. I recently let go of alcohol as well. It's something I struggle with everyday and often wish I could cut that piece of my brain out. This Blog is my anti-drug, so thank-you for being apart of my sobriety!
Now it's your turn! What are your top five facts?
