Trio of Christmas Parties!

To kick off the Holiday week, we went to The Fella's Holiday Dinner Party at Dan Tana's. Tana's is one of the last standing Modern Dining restaurants in Los Angeles. It is still home to delicious food (the best Chicken Marsala and Steak I've had in the city), impeccable service and a Hollywood celebrity hot spot.

The Fella has the pleasure of working with a close group of friends that he's known since High School. As a Girlfriend, now Wife -- I can't tell you how much I love these men, their significant others and children. It's such a pleasure being around them, as I feel like I've inherited another set of family members.

So, here is the Dan Tana's tradition. A Shot of Slivovitz!

 Yay

 Or so we thought!
It's actually 100 proof Brandy Wine, and will knock you right on your TUSH!
(side note: Rebecca had the most BEAUTIFUL 50's dress on. I'm so sad I didn't get a photo of it)

If you've been to Dan Tana's, you've encountered the amazing 25 year veteran bartender, Mike! He's actually a family member of our group. Make sure you go to Tana's during the week, as that is when Mike is usually manning the bar.

The next evening we headed to our (now) annual trip to see Mr. Setzer!

If Brian comes to your town with this show, you MUST see it. It's completely family friendly, and something you should do with your kids and older family members! For me, it's such an amazing treat. Stray Cats is one of my all time FAVORITE bands. So, to be able to see him preform the songs I love PLUS a full big band orchestra, is just beyond!

Waiting for it to start!

 Stray Cats songs!

Does it get any better than THIS?

He even does a full on Rockabilly set!

Christmas Eve was spent at The Fella's side of the family!

Scarlett's Christmas dress is from Janie and Jack

Ever want to have a view of my life lately? It looks EXACTLY like this.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

What Christmas Parties did you go to?

  1. Dan Tana’s looks awesome! I am wishing now I would have caught Brian Setzer in San Francisco! If only he did not play Christmas Eve we may have been able to make it. Scarlett is looking precious as ever. Love those striped jammies!

    1. Go during the week and let Mike serve you at the bar. He's quite abusive, but it's done with love!

  3. What a fabulously fun holiday season you guys had! I loved TBSO back in the 90s - their music reverberated through my young vintage and swing adoring soul something fierce. I still greatly enjoy their tunes and would love to be able to catch one of their shows some day, too.

Wishing you and your beautiful family an absolutely awesome New Year!
